a bridge connector tutorial"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A bridge connector\u00a0is an accessory that is installed on a bag and allows to attach a handle, the lobster clasps of a strap, etc &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>For example, 2 bridge connectors are used to attach the handle of the <a href=\"https:\/\/sacotin.com\/en\/boutique\/quadrille\/\">Quadrille bag<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As you will see in this tutorial, the installation of a bridge connector is much simpler than the professional result may suggest.<\/p>\n<h2>{Tutorial} Installing a bridge connector<\/h2>\n<p>The bridge connectors I use consist of 4 pieces:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the bridge<\/li>\n<li>the washer<\/li>\n<li>2 screws<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure id=\"attachment_33502\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-33502\" style=\"width: or embroidery scissors or seam ripper to make the holes<\/li>\n<li>Screwdriver<\/li>\n<li>Reinforcement, for example: flexible foam (<a href=\"https:\/\/sacotin.com\/en\/how-to-sew-flexible-foam\/\">flexible foam tutorial<\/a>), fleece, ultra firm stabilizer, high-density cardboard, &#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>For this tutorial, I first sewed the handle of the <a href=\"https:\/\/sacotin.com\/en\/boutique\/quadrille\/\">Quadrille bag<\/a>\u00a0and slid the bridges in position in the handle (without screw or washer).<\/p>\n<p>If the bridge connector is intended to attach a lobster clasp, it will be installed on its own.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_33503\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-33503\" wrong side of the piece of fabric where the bridge connector should be installed (here the flap of the Quadrille bag), center the washer on the placement marking (or where you want to attach the bridge connector on your project).<\/p>\n<p>Make markings on the fabric, through the 2 holes of the washer.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_33507\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-33507\" center;\">Pierce<\/h3>\n<p>Pierce the holes in the fabric.<br \/>\nA leather punch is great for making these holes, but you can also use the tip of embroidery scissors.<\/p>\n<p>If your fabric is fraying and is not interfaced, use some fabric glue on the edges of the holes to prevent further fraying.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_33509\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-33509\" where the bridge connector is attached.<\/p>\n<p>In this tutorial I used a large piece of flexible foam (<a href=\"https:\/\/sacotin.com\/en\/how-to-sew-flexible-foam\/\">flexible foam tutorial<\/a>)\u00a0because I want to give structure to the all flap. Depending on your project, a square covering the area of the bridge connector will suffice.<\/p>\n<p>Instead of flexible foam you can use fleece, ultra firm stabilizer, high density cardboard, etc
