{ChaChaCha} 3 compartment bag pattern<\/h2>\n

ChaChaCha<\/a> is a compact, practical 3 compartment bag.\u00a0<\/strong>Its 3 zippered compartments<\/strong>\u00a0give you a fast way to find what you\u2019re looking for.
\nDepending on your choice of fabrics, ChaChaCha can be sewn as a city bag or an evening bag.
\nWith the adjustable shoulder strap<\/strong>\u00a0your Chachacha can be a shoulder bag or a crossbody bag.
\nLes 4 strap tabs\u00a0<\/strong>are an original design element and provide a balanced support to the bag so that the compartments do not sag when filled.<\/p>\n

The pattern includes 2 sizes<\/strong>\u00a0: Small clutch size to carry your essentials, Medium functional bag size\u00a0for all your needs.<\/p>\n

You know that I like to add a little bonus in my patterns when possible \ud83d\ude42 … so you’ll find the ChaCha variation, with 2 compartments instead of 3, <\/strong>in the instructions of the pattern!<\/p>\n

Printing advice<\/h3>\n

For the readability of the illustrations<\/strong>, each third of the bag is shown in a different color.\u00a0We highly recommend to print the instructions in color, or to follow them on a screen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Advice for choosing fabrics<\/h3>\n

ChaChaCha<\/a> specific construction makes the seams between the 3 compartments\u00a0invisible, even in the linings<\/strong>!
\nThis assembly requiring many manipulations, choose fabrics that fold easily, not too thick, nor stiff.
\nFor each ChaChaCha in picture below,\u00a0I specify the fabrics\u00a0used and if interfacing was applied.<\/p>\n

ChaChaCha canvas and Liberty<\/h4>\n

Ecru lurex canvas, interfaced with one layer of\u00a0Vlieseline (= vilene) G700.<\/p>\n

Liberty Lodden cotton with 2 layers of G700 interfacing. I trimmed the seam allowance of 2nd layer of interfacing\u00a0and applied it over the 1st layer, once it was cold. <\/em>I applied one layer of Odicoat to protect the fabric, after interfacing.<\/p>\n

I tested a diamond shaped quilting using flexible foam. As this adds volume, which makes assembly more difficult, I do not advise to try this for your first ChaChaCha.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
