Twist is a zippered, crossbody, compact and multipocket bag.
The Twist pattern includes 2 versions to suit all styles, and 5 sizes in all !

The Twist pattern is supplied with an additional projector friendly PDF file.

2 versions to suit all styles

Version 1 : the feminine horizontal bag in 2 sizes.
Version 2 : the unisex vertical bag in 3 sizes.

Compact and multipocket

Twist is a compact and practical bag, with 5 pockets:

3 zippered pockets on the outside : two in front and one in the back.
2 inside pockets : one patch and one zippered.

*2 pockets in front and 1 in the back –* 1 patch pocket and 1 zippered inside.

Twist : 5 sizes in all

The Twist pattern includes 5 sizes in all : 2 sizes for version 1 and 3 sizes for version 2.

V1 Small – evening bag, minimalists : W 20 cm x H 15 cm (12 cm useful) x D 6 cm. [W 7 7/8″ x H 5 7/8″ (4 3/4″ useful) x D 2 3/8″]
V1 Medium – compact city bag : W 25 cm x H 19 cm (16 cm useful) x D 6 cm. [W 9 7/8″ x H 7 1/2″(6 1/4″ useful) x D 2 3/8″]

Level

The majority of the Twist pattern’s 15 testers ranked it as advanced beginner (between beginner and intermediate).

I decided to assign it the intermediate level, because it requires some precision.

Twist version 1 Medium : compact city bag

Dimensions : W 25 cm x H 19 cm (16 cm useful) x D 6 cm. [W 9 7/8″ x H 7 1/2″(6 1/4″ useful) x D 2 3/8″]

Fabric : Bellissimo vinyl in cherry color (be careful, this vinyl is thick !).
Contrast fabric : Liberty Mitsi cotton in bordeaux and teal for the bag front, with 2 layers of Vlieseline/Vilene G700. I also used the Liberty for the Two-tone strap (with 1 layer of G700).
Lining : “Apolline” red cotton.
Flexible foam on the bottom only, as per pattern instructions.

My phone (15 cm x 7 cm [6″ x 2 3/4″] – Samsung Galaxy S10) fits in the smallest outer pocket (and therefore also in the large outer pockets on the front and back).

Twist version 1 Small : evening bag or for minimalists

Dimensions : W 20 cm x H 15 cm (12 cm useful) x D 6 cm. [W 7 7/8″ x H 5 7/8″ (4 3/4″ useful) x D 2 3/8″]

Fabric #1 pour upper sides, back, facings and connectors : Loft 3D marbled gold Vinyl .
Fabric #2 for bottom and two-tone strap : Outdoor gold vinyl…because I didn’t have enough of the Loft 3D. The Loft 3D is easier to sew and less thick than the Outdoor.
Contrast fabric : Liberty Mitsi cotton in bordeaux and teal for the bag front, with 2 layers of Vlieseline/Vilene G700 . I also used the Liberty for the Two-tone strap (with 1 layer of G700).
Lining: Sweety flowers purple cotton.
Flexible foam on the bottom only, as per pattern instructions.

Dimensions : W 20 cm x H 28 cm (25 cm useful) x D 6 cm. [W 7 7/8″ x H 11″ (9 7/8″ useful) x D 2 3/8″]

To be able to fit into the bag, your tablet must measure a maximum of: 20 cm x 25 cm [W 7 7/8″ x H 9 7/8″] !

Fabric : military olive green canvas not interfaced because this fabric is already stiff and thick (thicker than the Vérone vinyl!)
Contrast fabric : Vérone dark brown vinyl.
Lining : beige polka dot cotton.
Flexible foam on the bottom only, as per pattern instructions.

My phone (15 cm x 7 cm [6″ x 2 3/4″] – Samsung Galaxy S10) doesn’t fit in any outer pocket, it fits right in the bag itself.
